Who Contributes to the Website?
In the past few years since Driveline's beginning, it wouldn't have been possible to maintain the steady growth of the site without the help of a number of contributors. In past times these have mainly been photographers submitting photos to the gallery, but in more recent times Driveline has grown to accept not only more photographic help, but assistance in upcoming event management, and also general site & newsletter management. These contributors are recognised below.

Brodie Butler
Proprietor / Head Photographer
Canon 30D DSLR
Brodie holds the vision for the Driveline Concept and has led the site since its beginning in 2004, including building the entire site from scratch. The original kick start was assisted by Ross Dobbie who also contributed the name "Driveline" for us to use, and by Peter Boyle who has been helpful on the web development side of things. Brodie took up photography at around the same time as the birth of the site, and has been the main contributor of photos throughout the entire site still to this day, including personally handling all the feature articles and conducting the photoshoots!

Richard McDowell
Photographer
Canon 5D & 20D DSLR
If you've ever seen a WA car in HPI, Hot 4s, Street Commodores, Zoom, a Ford mag or more in the past 20 years ... chances are it was shot and written up by the one known as Uncle Rick or The Leprechaun. Rick began shooting motorbikes at Barbagallo Raceway in 1987 (yes, 87, as in eighty - seven !!) and has been a WASCC accredited photographer for some 15 years now.

Rick is also one of the main photographers at the Perth Motorplex and has worked at The Plex ever since it opened for the 2000 / 2001 season. Rick's full time work encompasses handling the WA side for no less than 14 Australian National car magazines and many of his features also make it into a variety of overseas magazines.

After the best part of 20 years shooting WA motorsport as well as Perth's key modified cars of all genres, Rick is still full of enthusiam for his photography. In fact, when he is not shooting cars, Uncle Rick can be found in some remote part of the Wheatbelt or up a deserted bush track developing his nature / bush photography business.

Jamie Ferguson
Photographer
Canon EOS 30D DSLR
Jamie has a strong presence in the modelling community as a respected professional photographer and has contributed his amazing photographic work to both our event gallery and also in our features section. Keep an eye out for plenty more to come from Jamie!

Travis Barnes
Photographer
Canon 1D MK3 DSLR
Travis followed his fathers passion into photography almost 20 years ago. Enjoying the thrills of anything with a motor, Travis has always photographed various kinds of motorsport, and has been a major contributor of motorsport pics for the Community News Papers for some years now. Travis is an accredited WASCC photographer and is the official photographer for the AMR Speed Event Series among other things, and just happens to be the only photographer outside Europe that is FIA Accredited.

Matthew Jones
Photographer
Canon 350D DSLR
Many of you may already know the one they call 'Jester' from around the car scene. Jester has a great eye for photography and thoroughly enjoys his motorsport. Jester even co-drove Rob Hoare's Subaru Liberty in last years Dutton Rally (2006), however this year for the event he was out in force behind the camera to help capture some photos for Driveline.net.au.

Ray Oliver
Photographer
Nikon D2 DSLR
Ray has been a motorsport junkie all his life. Missing only one WASCC meeting ever in his life. Ray studied Photography for a few years gaining his diploma on 2003 & has photographed many events overseas and on the eastern seaboard.

Ben Crabtree
Photographer
Canon 1D MK2N DSLR
Ben is a young photography enthusiast who loves taking photos, especially of any kind of sideways motorsport such as rallying and drifting. Ben has been helping driveline keep an eye on the drifting world, contributing his excellent action shots from Barbagallo. We hope to see much more from Ben so keep an eye out for his great photos on this website.

John Harney
Photographer
Nikon D70S
John has been into cars for as long as he can remember. He started customising model car kits at age 8 and moved onto the real thing at 16 where he dabbled in Drag Racing and club based circuit work. John took up photography twenty odd years ago and then gave it up for a while, but fortunately he got back into it in 2005.

If he's not at the drags crewing, John is usually down there shooting. John is also the owner of the ute [BIANTE12], and the website.

Chris Pavy
Photographer
Nikon DSLR
Chris got into the field of Photography in 2006, following around his God Mother at weddings which she took photos for and slowly started to take his own at Car Shows and Motorsport events. Chris has a huge passion for cars, helping his father since he was 12 build a Fiat Abarth Race Car. Chris is now slowly getting into the motorsport scene himself, with his own track built purpose car (DREAMM5). Chris is heavily involved in a number of car clubs, and has plans to run his own!

Kym Jacobs
Contributor
Kym has been into cars his entire life, from collecting model's when he was 3 years old, to buying real ones, more recently his trophy winning [IMPRESIV] MY06 Subaru Impreza hatch which was replaced by his MY02 Subaru WRX STi. Kym is also highly involved with the Perth-WRX Car Club, where he steered them to their 5th straight Motorvation "Best Club" Trophy.
